I just installed a TN750C Announcement Board, but I'm not sure if it's enabled by the default or if it has to be enabled with a command. I was looking into some of the Avaya documentation and mentioned adding a data module with the announcement, so I tried that, but I still do not have the change announcements command available.

Here's the info on the board. I'm more of a systems admin and developer, so I don't do a lot work in the phone system.

Thanks in advance.

Hi, sorry, here is the system info.

Code:
                                SOFTWARE VERSIONS

    SOFTWARE VERSION
       Memory Resident: R013x.01.5.642.3
         Disk Resident: R013x.01.5.642.3

Code:
 OPTIONAL FEATURES

     G3 Version: V13
Location: 1 RFA System ID (SID): 16070
Platform: 12 RFA Module ID (MID): 1

cm3 and earlier:
display integrated
change announcement
list announcement
list integrated
list directory /annc board 1b13

tn750 integrated are not really supported on linux platforms. There is no way to save or backup the
tn750 boards. g3 platforms would allow save announcements to flash card, hard disk, tape, MO diskettes.
This is not an option on linux platforms. Linux platforms and even some legacy hardware platforms use
a newer VAL (tn2501) announcement board and Media-gateway slot v9 virtual val boards. .wav files are
used for the announcements and can be backed up, restored, moved to multiple boards and used in audio groups, etc.

cm4 and later:
display integrated
change announcements xxxx (where xxxx is an extension)
list announcement
list integrated
list directory /annc board 1b13

Thanks so much. I figured it out. I think we will upgrade to the tn750 when we upgrade CM to the latest version, hopefully, next year.

linux platforms with tn750c allow (in addition to commands listed previously):
erase board (SAT command)

board itself is only storage for announcements

Use feature-access codes from attendant console and station or remote-access barrier code with COS with console permissions.

record announcement
play announcement
delete announcement
