TN750C Announcement Board Fills up all space

I have one TN750C board in a Definity G3rV6. The board has about 90 sec left at 32k/sec. Any announcement that is re-recorded will fill up all space with that announcement and only store less than a second of that announcement. History: a few weeks ago, the original TN750C threw a minor alarm and we replaced the board and restored announcements. New board threw a minor alarm and we re-recorded all announcements and saved them. Some messages still would not play. A few days ago, we replaced that board and get this max out memory problem.
We erase messages before recording. The list integrated shows 0 sec on an erased announcement but record anything and it fills all memory space. I have busied out, reset, released more times than I can remember. I have not tried 1) erasing all announcements and recording totally to an empty board and 2) putting the board in a different slot. Anyone have any ideas on what I can do with this? Is this board bad or do we have bad data? I still have the original board on a shelf as a backup. Thanks.

This is a common know bug with the TN750C announcement boards.
What I noticed that causes the memory to become corrupt are:
1. Recording announcements to max capacity
2. Re-Recording announcements without first deleting them

Once it's corrupt, the only fix that reliably works is to erase the board either restore from a flashcard backup if you have it or re-record. :(

To prevent this, what I use to do was:
1. Check free time and never let it get 100% full.
2. Always delete announcements first by dialing the FAC, hang up, dial the announcement to make sure it's been cleared, then use the FAC to record again.

Note: When you erase an announcement and hang up, the announcement extention will ring if you dial it durring the errase process.

I say use to, because I upgraded to a VAL board. However I think you need V9 or 10 for that. The best thing to do is to put all critical announcements on a separate board and lock them all. And on a different board, put the announcements that get re-recorded regularly.

Gotta do an "erase announce" anytime you insert a new 750c or you get what you just got!

lopes1211 is right. Tier 3 told me that sometimes they leave test announcements on the boards from the factory and that will erase them.

Thanks. I am going to try to erase the announcements and restore them from the flash card. I'll have our voice talent standing by to re-record them if necessary.
