Hi,

I have alarm for my announcement board. I have prologix system. alarms are error 14 and 2817. I went through the documents, I already done test board xxxx sh r 3. The result is:

test 209 fail (error code 1)
test 171 abort (error code 1005)---This is in port 17 of the board.

I went through it, but im afraid that my announcemnt will be erased. I need to know how to backup my announcement.; Im using TN750C board.

Also, I discover something when i do "list usage extension 200" (200 is ext of my announcement), the result was that it was used in feature parameters DID/ISDN/etc.. and the other one is announcement. Isnt it a problem? Wher i can see that feature parameters?

Please help..

You cannot backup announcements with out circuit 17 in working order. Circuit 17 on the TN750 is a data module circuit used for saving and restoring announcements. Try and identifing the ext number of circuit 17 "list data-module", once you have the ext number try "status data-module (number)" it maybe just hung up.
Try and enter "busyout board (board loc)" then "reset board (board loc)", then "release board (board loc)". The alarms may resolve without testing. The Announcements will not be eraesed, just don't pull the TN750 out of its slot then you will lose your announcements.

Thanks. I was about to busy out the board but im afraid that it will be erased. But you said that it will not. right? if there will be no more error in port 17, then how will i save the announcement, so that it will act as a back-up if it will be erased? Im using prologix. Thanks a lot.

Correct you will not erase the announcements by busying out the board or the reset board command. If you physically reset the board you will loose them all.
If you only have one TN750 just enter "save announcements" it will write to your memory card, to restore the announcements to the TN750 enter "restore announcements
