All of my announcements are getting busy signals. When I display my errors, I show a hardware error on one of the ports on the announcement board, but do not know how to fix the problem. Any suggestions?

Have you tried pulling the card out of the PBX for a minute and putting it back in?

What model of 750 is it? Do u have the current card?

P.S. A message to all,if you want to get the best response to a question, please read FAQ222-2244 first. Also give the type & version of your voice mail & pbx system & preview your post to make sure it is complete & understandable. Be aware that if u don't answer a question, I usually will not continue to help u.

If it is a TN750A or TN750B, I wouldn't pull it out unless you have backed them up to a flash card. Those two versions of announcement boards do not save the announcements on the board. Only the 'C' of the TN750 board saves to onboard memory.

And of course the new VAL Announcement boards save to onboard memory.

I tried re-seating the TN750A card, but to no avail. I ended up having to re-record my announcements. Thanks for your help.

backup to flashcard after re-recorded. it is very useful for loss power or reseat the card.

Better yet, back up to flash card, purchased a re-furbed TN750C, swap cards, restore announcements, and continue to periodically back up to flash, secure in the knowledge that announcements will not be erased by power failures or re-seating the card.
