TN464- capabilities

just took over a call center, the system is a G3, with TN464.. my vendor is telling me that I need a Data Module cards for each T1 cards.. I was always under the impression that one TN464 could handle 10 or more T-1 cards?

TN464 is a E1 or T1 circuit pack while DATA Module is a external device like modem and not a card. One application that uses data module is DCS with centralized Audix Voice Mail.

you can say that. I just cited one possible usage of data module in association with T-1 or E-1. BTW, what do you need the TN464 card for?

I think that they may be referring to Signaling Groups.
