Hello

I have recently upgraded a G3si from v6 to MV software, and installed a TN2501 VAL annc. board.

When I status the ethernet data module attached to port 33 of the board location, I get the error message below.

"1173" C-Lan control link (RSCL) not up, please try later
Command: status data-module 1173

Any ideas welcome!!!

Neil

did you add this val board to node names and also to IP-interface??

Mike

Yes the VAL is in node-names & IP interfaces. I have added numerous val boards with no issues. This one has me stumped as I do not have any multivantage documentation.

When I status the data module it doesn't even bring back an "out-of-service" or "disconnected" status, just that error message.

CLAN is in and working - User logs into Definity via CLAN.

Have you tried a status on the link and re-seating the c-lan?

Fingerman,

We've already reseated the C-LAN, to no avail, and "status link 2" comes back with the same message:- C-Lan control link (RSCL) not up, please try later

Status link 1 (C-LAN) comes back ok, in-service/idle,

Neil

They can be a bit funny to get working sometimes.

Can you ping the val? - just thinking if you can, make sure its the latest firmware F7.

Check the speed and duplex settings on the VAL board. If the IP port is configured as 100/full set the VAL board that way. Change the auto-negotiate to 'n'.
