I am installing a new t1 in a Option 11 on rls.25.
I have a new tmdi card and need help with the programming steps. This need sto be programmed for a SBC supertrunk. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
never heard of sbc super trunks, but the tmdi is simple enough. there are several post here that refer to new pri's going in, all the loads are the same, you'll have to get a little better discription on the trunk type. sbc super sounds like an ad man trying to make something sound good. nortel does not have an interface type that matches that color advertisement.
I beleive supertrunks can be delivered on either. It appears super trunks are a repackaged way of selling combo or bi-directional DID/DOD trunks via B8ZS. It does not allow the use of D4/AMI. Essentially it lowers the cost to the carrier as they do not have to have an interim interface like a channel bank. These should be a little more reliable also....in theory.
ok a normal pri, without the sales team catch phrase. all my pri are b8zs, esf iao, and that goes back at least 10 years. guess we need better sales people (not)
Supertrunk is an SBC term for DTI with E&M wink/wink, IAO
Extended Super Frame, Bipolar 8th zero substitution. No D-Channel involved (at least in the 20 or so I have done). In other words, supertrunk denotes DID/DOD capabilities on a standard T1. (Almost forgot, watch out for 56k channels instead of clear channel 64k)
