I have a Opt 11 that has a TMDI card connected to an Avaya communications manager that is used for another office. The Nortel TMDI was in a constant state of self testing and getting TMDI 300 error messages against the d-channel, sys dsbl, fatal error. The card failed a self test so I replaced the card. When I enabled the loop it comes up as normal, then starts spitting out 40 or so d-channel messages (see picture) while the messages are being displayed the d-channel led on the card goes green and on the messages it looks like a call is coming thru but when the messages stop you get, DCH 24, rls no response and yellow light on TMDI card. The loop is up but in mbusy. If I disable another TMDI card it comes up normal with no stream of d-channel messages. I replaced the PRI card on the Avaya and it does the same thing on the Nortel with all the d-channel messages, green light then rls no response. When I do a loopback to the Nortel the loop comes up and I get rls wrong mode which usually means no problem with the Nortel but I have never seen all of these d-channel messages spit out when enabling a loop. Also replaced the patch cord between the two. Our Avaya guy sees no problem on that switch, I also powered down the Nortel to see if it cleared ant glitches with no luck, anybody have a clue why this is happening? Thanks!
