Greetings,

A couple years back, a TMANI card originally designed for the HiPath 3800 was installed on to a HiPath 4000 due to discotinuation of the Ananlog Trunk card originally used for the 4000 (per the explanation provided at the time). The only purpose for the TMANI card is to introduce 4 POTS lines into the system for internal tranfers and visibility. The 4 POTS services were originally part of the PRI range, but were pulled from the span to provide resiliency to the site's primary operations. These 4 POTS were placed in Hunt at the CO level and terminated onto a Bypass unit which can be manually set to bypass the HiPath. There was a little problem detected ... the TMANI ports will remain open longer than desired when calls to the POTS lines get disconnected/terminated. Is there a way to bring the disconnect timer down in order to reset the POTS ports sooner? In other words, when POTS line 1 gets a call and hangs up, the port will remain off-hook for a significant amount of time and will not receive another call until, of course, it resets. This behavior gives the impression that the extensions assigned to the POTS lines can't receive further calls so now people call other extensions (Optiset) in the room - not ideal.

The original intent was to share appearances of the POTS lines on an Optiset and 4-line analog phones, but was informed that this is not possible on the HiPath. (Has this changed?) Currently, there are four 4-line analog phones that the POTS lines (and associated extnesions) appear on and sometimes they can receive internal calls and other times they can't due to the TMANI issue.

Thank you for any suggestions.

Greetings,

1 other question... using RMX, how can you check the Call FWD settings on an analog station #? and How can I change the Call FWD destination on the same analog port/station...

for example: need to find out where analog ext 4000 is forwarding to (it is not voice mail), then change or turn off the Call Forwarding the the analog ext 4000.

Thank you!

The TMANI settings should be checked on an already working system as there are many parameters that affect this within timers etc.

The call forwardings can be checked by:

REG-ZIEL:FWD,XXXX;

REG-ACTDA:STN,XXXX;

Where XXXX is the relevant extension number.
