Is their a way to answer an employees call in same department from my phone set without doing call forward or adding extension to my phone?

I was told by an employee in his past job if someone was out sick and phone rang in department an employee could press a code and extension to answer the call. Is this possible? If so, how can I accomplish this using TM 3.2?

Phone System

PBX: Nortel 61C v5.5
TM: 3.2


 
Yes we can hear the phone ring. How does this pick up group work? How do I set this up in TM 3.2?

The reason why I ask about this setup is our Admin assistant has been in and out of the office do to family matters. So when she is out we constantly have to setup call forward.
 
Someone else will have to tell you on TM, I only do Command Line

on the phone @ RNPG prompt create a group, say 99. then CLS pua gpua. Do this to any sets you want to be in that group

also on 39xx sets key 22 is reserved for RNP on 2004 key 22 as well

hear it ring, p/u handset, hit DN hit RNP key.
