We were just upgraded to TM 3.1 from version 2 so it is a lot different.

I am having trouble searching for different things. If I search for a DN and put a value of *, it will give me all the DN's on my system. If I put 7* (to only see DN that start with 7) it says "no records to display". I get the same thing if I put in the full DN 7878.

Any idea what I need to do to search?

Thanks and happy new year.

Steve

your search params are right... 7* should give you 7 plus any number.. 7878 should give you just that dn IF it;s in the switch

I thought I was doing it right.

It is in the switch. If I just put a star and get every phone DN, it shows on that list. Maybe something is not setup right?

I do appreciate the response, at least I know I am trying to do it correctly.

CORRECTION...

I was wrong, If I put the full DN 7878 it works. It only fails when trying to use a wildcard like 787* or 7*.

Using just 7 didn't work for me either. If I goto advanced search I can get it to work searching specific TN's, but not DN's.

Dear programmers ,

The % (percentage) solves the problem
eg PrimeDN 25% or TN 248 1 14%

A star for you Sir! That works.
Why would they use a % instead of *???

Thanks for all the help.

This is also a new thing for me. Thank you OP for this thread.

I also just have upgraded my TM to 3.1. In the first few days after the installation, I still used my old OTM for some move add and changes, since I was still figuring out how to use the new TM. So it mess some of the database for the new TM 3.1.

How can I do the Sync ALL again, it seems i do not see any option to Sync ALL between the TM3.1 with the PBX/CS1000.

Since I know familiar with TM3.1, I would like to Sync ALL once again so I can have the correct database.

Sienz,

There are 2 ways to retrieve all the TN from the CS100
1) make a task and schedule this eg every night
2) In Telephones - Search - Basic search there is an option Retrieve at the pulldown menu in de Search results

Chris

Thank you ChrisJGB, I found it.

One more questions, So If i did make a change in my OTM or in system teminal (when the TM3.1 already installed and retrieved the information), Does the Retrieve All in TM3.1 will override everything that they pull from the CS1000 so I will have current/updated information in the TM3.1?

The reason I ask, I did create a new set in the old OTM for TN 16-05. but now in the TM 3.1, the TN 16-05 still shows as unassigned.
