I have removed 3 drives within NetBackup, but when I run tldtest on the server I am still seeing them. Does anybody know how to remove them ? The drives are still connected to the DEVICE_HOST which is still powered on, drives are also still in the robot. I have stopped all NetBackup processes on the DEVICE_HOST

Any time that you remove a device in NetBackup, you should first delete the device. This can be done via the GUI or the command line. I suggest the command line.

(PATH) <install_path>\VERITAS\Volmgr\bin

(COMMAND) tpconfig

(USAGE for deleting drives)

tpconfig -delete -drive <drive index>

To find the drive index, you can do a tpconfig -d and note the output.

So, to recap:

1) tpconfig -d and note the output.

2) tpconfig -delete -drive <insert the index which is to be deleted here>

Hope this helps!

If you still have a problem - Use vmglob. Very useful for cleaning up the device databse.
