If I wanted to change my tlan settings from auto negotiate duplex to Full Duplex, is this sufficient enough:
tlanDuplexSet 0, or do I need to disable the auto negotiate setting first?

Alsom do I need to manually save this setting or since I am telneting to the card, the change is immediate?

HELP!

the change will take place on the next reboot, unless that has changed.. but the tlan should not be switched, it should be be a direct connect through a 100 meg hub, auto should not be a problem unless your trying to vlan it through a layer 3 device.. i wouldn't, the books are very clear on that one

NORTEL will tell you to always set TLAN port settings to AUTO NEGOTIATE. If you hard code it, it could and I have had this problem, a mismatch can occur on duplex settings. It will greatly degrade you network.
