How can I import say and arrow into my title file and have to background transparent with the arrow still showing over the video footage.
Every time I try the arrow turns invisible it does not seem to recognise the image

I have found that creating the graphic image in Photoshop with a transparent background works great for what you are wanting. Premiere should include the transparancy of the .psd file when you import it. If not, you have the option to select the background to remain transparent by choosing Video> Transparency and selecting either white or black alpha channel to be transparent. Hope this helps you.
