We have an after hours emergency number. The call gets routed out of VM pro to a certain individuals cell via a phantom ext with an unconditional FWD on it. We have been going in and changing the number based on who is on call. someone screwed up and now they want it automated. Is there anyways to time profile this, or have it changed automatically?

Thanks in Advance

You can build a call flow that checks and routes the call to a number based on the day and time but that would still require someone to change the on call numbers every month or week depending how far in advance you work.

Use time profiles but then based on the calender
Then go to the incoming call route
Add the time profile and put in the cell phone number in the destination (with prefix)

You can add time profiles for different number but also based on different days

But you must be on 4.2 i believe

Can you give me an exaple of how this would be built out, I am having trouble imagining it.

You need to be on 4.2 i believe

When you make a time profile you can add this in your incoming call route
You can make multiple time profiles based on hours or days

im on 4.2.11, so i should be ok, ill let you know how it goes

Well this all works well in theory, but the after hrs has to go through our VM pro AA first, which means, no dice on this fix.
It gives them options to leave a message, or transfer to after hrs for emergency, the problem is that we cant just point the number to the cell, or that incoming call to the cell cause not all of them are emergencies. thanks for the information though, it was usefull.

aerosome, I've done something similar to this, using a selector code from the AA. Is this what you need? Can you provide the intended script from the AA? And are the targets continually changing, or do they stay the same on a weekly basis?

The targets are continually changing, they stay for 1 week then go to another person.

build a menu that tests user variables.

then create a shortcode that points to a menu, that allows them to set the user variable,

export your call flow and email it to me.

zip it up or it wont get through

ill build the flow for you and explain how to use it. then you just need to record the prompts

this will require a manual change of the number each week, but it does give you more control for rota changes etc etc

or do you want it fully automated?

in which case just use test conditions

ok, email sent, but i dont know about the automation, i would like to set it up so i dont have to touch it anymore....but if i do have to make a change once a week thats ok too
