server : w2003 enterprise SP1 EN
IBM X335, storage IBM FAStT 700 (via 2GBps FC)
clients : iMac G4 , MacOS 9.x system

EventLog on server (w2003 enterprise SP1):
MACSRV
Session from user "xxx.xxx" was timed out and disconnected by the server. The IP address of the Macintosh workstation is in the data.

The main thing is that the iMac can copy 100 mb file from the server to the client without any problems and very fast. But, when I push a file up to the server, it's very slow nad apple talk freeze MacOS 9.x system.

Network switches is Cisco technology - Catalyst 2950 and 3550 . Ping from clients is under 1ms over the network.

These MacOS clients are connecting to the server using the iP address.

Anybody has any ideas??

Reason is bad implementation of Apple Talk services in MS Windows 2003 server. It is same with or without SP. Solution is remove older MacOS9 system and install MacOSX and switch tu IP ).
