Just installer a new IPO 500V2 9.1 and found we could not override the time profile night service with a button programmed to set night service group. Anybody heard of this yet?
Finally have a chance to sit at the bench and work on this issue and Sandy Clause might get here before I figure it out.
I set up a short code to set time profile latched inactive. According to documentation, that should set hunt group int night service until another short code set time profile to timed operation. Which I also programmed. Still not there.
Short code: #61
Feature: Set time profile latched inactive
Number: Working Hours
Short code: #62
Feature: Set time profile to timed operation
Number: Working Hours
Holiday is over and back on this new time profile over ride. I have created new short codes for all the over ride features and changed the name of my time profile to math the example in Gunnar oro"s document:
#95 Set Time Profile Timed Operation Business Hours
#96 Set Time Profile Active Until Next Timed Inactive Business Hours
#97 Set Time Profile Inactive Until Next Timed Active Business Hours
#98 Set Time Profile Latch Active Business Hours
#99 Set Time Profile Latch Inactive Business Hours
I am using analog trunks in this bench unit, just as the customer who wants the feature.
Still not able to over ride the time profile to force system into night mode at a different time than the profile.
Could sure use some help...
Wanted to thank everyone for NOT coming to my aid on this problem that I have been wrestling with over the last week. Sometimes I will give up before the miracle happens (or the light comes on) and ask for help instead of solving a problem on my own. I have learned alot about this system and very little have I had to reach out for help on. I guess as retirement continues to creep up I just dont have that fire inside about this stuff like I used to.
Perhaps the reason for NOT helping you could be that the feature is new and not used very much so far (not very much experience here) AND that many users are on vacation perhaps.
Everyone here will help if he can but if you need quick help you should think about purchasing a support option from Avaya.
You might also have twigged the dates. Its between Christmas and New Year and so most of us are enjoying a break from working all day and then helping out voluntarily in various forums in the evenings. Instead we're latched inactive until the January 4th.
A user button Emulation> Time Profile with the action data group name brings up a list of options. Testing this on 9508 handset. They appear to be working to set the hunt group in and out of night service.
The user> Menu Programming> Hunt Group options will just give you OOS option if the group is controlled by a time profile with the Status button.
For the short codes be sure to use double quotes on the "timeprofile" name. (haven't tested the short code method yet)

Actually I think that whole last post came out wrong...
Seriously i am thankful that I did figure it out on my own. Please, no offense to any of you guys, especially Gunnar. It was while reading his threads and all the responses that were posted regarding the time profile over ride that i figured out what was missing.
So, thanks to all you guys for your help.
