Hello All,

Have a customer that says when he comes in on a Saturday or works at night, he turns the Night time profile off so he'll answer calls.
They have a 9.1.12 with 9508 phones.
I have a "Night" time profile button on his phone. He comes in after hours, sees the Night button light (meaning it is in night)
pushes that button & selects Inactive Till Next Active.
He knows then to put it back to Timed operation before he leaves.

The issue is he's in his office & after a while he notices his Night button turned back on by itself.
Testing at my office (also have 9.1.12 9508 phone) it does the same thing.
For testing purposes, I made a time profile for 12 PM to 4 PM. At 1 PM I did the Inactive Till Next Active, checked my phone at 1:25 light still not on, but had to step out for 15 minutes came back in my office & seen it was on.
Just did another test at 1:45 & at 2:15 came back on as I'm typing.
So it looks like every half a hour it checks something & activates it.

Anyone know why or how to stop it from doing that?

I checked my time(in System Status) to see if when the time is Polled from a time server if that had something to do with it.
The first test it was Polled at 12:53, so before I even inactivated it. This last time it was at 1:51.
Don't look like that's the issue.

I know he could just Latch Inactive, just wondering why it does that every 30 minutes?

Sorry so long & Thanks you

Honestly I never used Inactive till next Active because it is used for complex reasons. You would only need to use that in a time profile when you want it to turn off and on like it is doing but at times you specify. My guess is since it is not a setting that gets used very often it is simply a bug since you replicated it. I would just suggested latching as you suggested.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

That's what I was thinking.

Just thought maybe there's some setting somewhere, to adjust/disable, since it does it every 30 minutes.

Thanks critchey
