Hi,

Got a interesting question with VM Embedded on one of our customer site .

If we have both entries , one with weekly recurrence entry ( Mon - Sun ) and one with a particular Calendar entry such as July 4 , which one will be executed first ?

Does IPO with Essential VM read the rule from top to bottom down for the hunt group , the opposite of ICR ?

Thanks,

madwok

The reason is the customer wants us to prepopulate all its yearly holiday calendar without last minute MAC . If the days of the week are not in holidays , it goes to its regular way.

Pretty easy with VM pro BUT I am not quite sure of how it play out the VM essential embedded .

Thanks a bunch !

Where do you mean? On the incomming call route?

The AMRIDDLE01 is right..

Oh, now I see what you're asking. My response was in respect to ICR...sorry :)

It checks all entries for a group, so if its outside any of the times/dates mentioned it's in night service, doesn't matter what order they are in. For ICR if it's within any of the times/dates entered in a single time profile it follows the destination of that ICR entry....
But you can also add multiple time profiles to an ICR and then it's a bottom up match of the time profiles themselves (not the time frames within them). A group can only be associated with a single time profile :)

Hi guys,

My issue is for example we have entry as :
Mon - Sun : 9 am to 5 pm , then we also has an entry
July 4 , 2014 9 am to 1:00 pm on the time profile for hunt group.

we want the July 4 , 2014 "wins" over the normal Fri . Currently , we have to remove the Fri from Mon- Fri on the week of

July 4, 2014 and wonder is there a better way to do it for the hunt group time profile .

On other system such as Avaya BCM or Definity, we can use the holiday table and it always "wins" over the mornal Mon-Sun .

Does it make sense ?

Thanks,

You would do this sort of thing in Incoming call route, not on the group, then it's easy.

In the example you posted it will always be in service Mon-Fri 9 - 5 despite you specifying 9 - 1 on the 4th July as it checks both.
To achieve what you want you have to select every day of the year except weekends and 4th July as 9 - 5 in a calendar entry and a separate calendar/time entry that will then match 9 - 1 on the 4th July

Why can't you use Incoming call route? :)

Great idea as I would use holidays with time schedule in icr in conjunction with time schedule in huntgroup. Thanks for the feedback.
