Got 833 yesterday, not to far short of 849 but had 10 seconds to answer the final question so had to guess it. Hope that wasn't the one that caused me to miss out.

Pretty gutted.

Anyway preparation wasn't ideal but does anyone know if there is a limit on the number of times you can take this exam?

I work on Avaya IPT and you can only have 3 attempts in a year. Does Cisco have similar limits?

There are no limits on how many times you can take an exam to pass. Usually there is a 48-hour delay between tests since the testing centers need to download the exams. Once you pass an exam Cisco won't let you take it again for 6 months. (That discourages the brain dumpers who repeatedly take exams, pass, then post questions on web sites.) The only exception is for Certified Cisco Systems Instructors who have to pass exams with a higher score. If they pass an exam but need to retake it to get the instructor score Cisco will grant an exception to the 6 month rule.

cisco requires 72 hours between test attempts (only takes 5-15 minutes to download and schedule an exam (at least with Vue, not sure about Prometric), trust me I worked at a testing center to 2 years if they tell you otherwise it's because they're busy or lazy).
