BCM 3.7

Customer states they changed time under Identification but sets do not show the new time.

I dialed in and what they did took in programming but sets still have incorrect time 2 hours after the change.

Thanks

I have had this happen to me a few times before. Had to reboot BCM and time changed on the phones.

Have you tried changing to NTP instead of manual time and adding the box to the LAN? It should then force push out the NTP time to the telsets.

Synchronise your time with your trunks. The Telco is almost always accurate with time.

NTP does not work well in my view.

I have multiple BCM400s that wont sync with NTP automatically. They only update after a reboot or changing the time source to something else then back to NTP.

Just my 2c............

I have many 50s and 450s with NTP working just fine. One 50 always fails to update so I suspect a firewall issue. You can see in the alarm log whether the NTP server sync was successful or if it failed.

Yeah firewalls do play their part some times.

However, my biggest problem with this is 200/400s R4 not even trying to contact the server.
