The strangest thing has happened.
When I start my system, I have approximately 8 minutes to use my internet browser (IE 7 or FireFox yields the same result), and then it can’t find any website except for secure sites.
I have run full scans using my AVG antivirus, Ad-Aware and Spybot trying to find a virus of some sort. Has anyone ever heard of this or have any suggestions of what to try to fix this problem?

What you called "secure sites" are https sites ?

Water is not bad as long as it remains outside human body ;-)

That is correct Targol - can only access https: sites after the initial few minutes

As the behavior is the same whatever the browser, it seems to me that you're experiencing firewall or proxy blockage...
Some firewall can block connections depending on the protocol.
Did you try with ftp or pop3 protocols ?

By the way, I can't figure why it only appears after 8mn...
