I have a spreadsheet whereby number of hours worked is entered on a row e.g.

8:30 7:00 11:00

The total hours worked figure however displays 2:30 instead of 26:30 and all of the cells are formated to Custom hh:mm. What must I do to display my totals correctly?

use custom format [hh]:mm - the [] allows time and dates to go over their internal "limits" ie 60 for seconds and minutes and 24 for hours - the answer you are getting is correct in that the total time is one DAY 2 hours and 30 mins - therefore, formatted as hh:mm, it shows 02:30
If you format as d hh:mm, you will get 2 2:30.
