If I want to set my time to change automatically, would this be correct?

FWTM 3 3 1 2
BWTM 11 2 1 2
SDST ON

TDST to check

FWTM 3 2 1 2 (Forward, March, 2nd Sunday, 2:00 AM)
BWTM 11 1 1 2 (Backward, November, 1st Sunday, 2:00 AM)

Wy does it look like this? I might be confused.

FWTM MAR 2 SUN 2 (AT 02:00 11/3/2007)
BWTM NOV 1 SUN 2 (AT 02:00 4/11/2007)

FWTM MAR 2 SUN 2 (AT 02:00 11/3/2007)
BWTM NOV 1 SUN 2 (AT 02:00 4/11/2007)"

FWTM 3 2 1 2 (3 is the Month) 2 is the 2nd 1 is sunday So 2nd Sunday) and the last 2 means 2AM

You have these reversed and the wrong dates.
You have it set to Forward on 11/3/2007 At 2AM

You have it set to Fall back on 4/11/2007 AT 2AM

Set and print Daylight Savings Time
The daylight savings time adjustment can be programmed to take place automatically. You can set the date to change to daylight savings, and to return to standard time. This information can be queried at any time. The following commands are accepted by this program for this capability.
The system clock MUST ALREADY be set for the daylight savings time to be updated. This information survives sysload.

• FWTM = Set the date and time for the clock to move forward.

• BWTM = Set the date and time for the clock to move backward.

• SDST = Enable or disable the automatic change.

• TDST = Query the change information.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Here is what I have Typed in and what it tells me I have.

.fwtm 3 2 1 2
.bwtm 11 1 1 2
.tdst
SDST OFF
FWTM MAR 2 SUN 2 (AT 02:00 11/3/2007)
BWTM NOV 1 SUN 2 (AT 02:00 4/11/2007)

What should I have done different? It still is not making since yet.

The Backward time I tell 11 1 1 2 but it still siad 4/11??
The Forward tine I tell 3 2 1 2 but it sais 11/3??

We are moving Back now not forward.

No it moves back on 3 1 1 2 Were moving back on Nov 3, 2007
and moves forward on 3 3 1 2 We will move forword on Mar 8, 2008.

Your doing it backwards.

just do it like bigindian65 said to do it
FWTM 3 2 1 2 (Forward, March, 2nd Sunday, 2:00 AM)

Remember when you are looking at dates in a Nortel switch, it is day/month/year not month/day/year.
so 11/3/07 is March 11 not November 3.

Ace - I am doing it like he said. Take a look at my switch printout again. But when I SDST it looks incorrect.

.fwtm 3 2 1 2
.bwtm 11 1 1 2

.tdst
SDST OFF
FWTM MAR 2 SUN 2 (AT 02:00 11/3/2007)
BWTM NOV 1 SUN 2 (AT 02:00 4/11/2007)

This is way more difficult than it has to be.
