there is a function called "observe" that would allow you to monitor the desktop without their knowledge, and the tb2 agent would need to be running on the pc. from my experience the pc screen flashes and there is a momentary freeze of the pc while the agent "kicks in" -- so i doubt this could be done without the user seeing it.
