tif attachment won't open - Outlook Express

All of a sudden tif attachments won't open out of Outlook Express. Normaly "Microsoft Picture and Fax Viewer" opens up. If I save it to the desktop and double-click it will open. Other file types do open directly from the paperclip like pdf. Any suggestions?

OS is XP
OE ver 6

Have you checked the file association? (Windows Explorer->Tools->Folder Options, File Types, TIF)


OCD, it’s not obsessive if you can control it…

Yes, I did go through the file associations. I did get the tif files to open again by deleteing all the files in the following directory:

C:\Documents and Settings\user\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5

To see these files you'll need to uncheck "Hide protected operating system files [Recommended]
