I have a customer with Two Mics and a T1 tie for data between the two sites. What I am looking for is to use some channels in the T1 to tie the Norstar systems together. Any ideas?

Tie two Mics together

We have this exact same setup. Two MICS (5.0) tied together via a T1, voice/data.
We have an Adtran 3205 with a DSX port located at each site. The T1 is seperated with the first 6 channels being voice, and the remainder data.
Each MICS has an E&M card to allow the phone systems to "talk" to each other.
Our corporate office extension scheme is 2xxx & the other site is 3xxx.
So, at corporate, we designed the 3 prefix to use line pool B, and at the other site, we designated the 2 prefix to do the same.
In order to support direct-dialing, you need to have each extension assigned a target line (ring-only). We have 2 appearances of each target (to match the number of intercom buttons).

Thanks for the input, If I use an E&M card I'll lose 4 lines, right? So I would need an expansion card and trunk module?

looks like bwtc outlined the setup pretty good. Why not use T-1 cards in the MICS and set the lines for E&M wink auto ans? You would also need a services card or combo card. You now have the option of using more DS0 chans for voice if you need them.
Sorry, I don't know that answer for sure.
We have a maxi (6-port) system at corporate -- at the other site, I'm unsure if it is a mini or a midi. (I don't think there are any expansion units there -- have have 4 copper lines hooked to it, and 32 ports total there).

I don't know if this will help you about losing the 4 lines; I'm connected to our remote location using a RAD, and am looking at the module status.
The remote location has 2 cards in it: Card 1 is a 24-line card (for the T1). Card 2 is a 4-line card. So, we only have 4 copper lines hooked up to our MICS at the remote location.
If you have more than 4 copper lines hooked to your unexpanded MICS, then it looks like your options are to either expand it, or lose 4 lines.
