Tie Line and COS relationship

I have an offsite G3V3 PBX connected to my Corporate Office G3V12 PBX via a Tie-Line. The offsite stations currently dial a tie-line code of 6 + 9 + ARS string to make outgoing local calls from Corp PBX. I have installed new PRI channels at offsite location to be used for offsite stations to make outgoing calls. I now need to allow offsite stations to continue to dial 6 to reach 4-digit Corporate extensions, but I need to restrict those offsite stations from being able to dial outgoing calls from the Corporate PBX. I am a little confused about how to restrict the offsite extensions from dialing out of the Corporate PBX. Do the offsite stations calling across the tie-line retain their COS / FRL or do they assume the COS / FRL of the Tie-line? I would appreciate any help on this issue.

There are many ways to do this, and you will probably hear all of them. I will give you one, if AAR is turned on in the V3 then make 6 an AAR code. Change the DAC for the trunk group from 6 to some other number. On the AAR table have 6 route to a new route pattern that only allows a dial string of four digits. In the new route pattern put the trunk group that contains the tie line.

You could also turn off trunk-to-trunk transfer in the corporate switch.

FRL could be something you use also. When you make a call from one PBX to another your FRL drops one level (more restricted), so if a person has an FRL of 6 in their home PBX, they will have an FRL of 5 in the other switch. You could do it this way also but need to plan it out carefully.
