We have an Opt11 at a remote location connected to a CS1000 and Call Pilot through a tie line. Recently the remote location has noticed that when they forward their phones to voice mail and a caller comes in through the menu and through dials, they will be directed to the general mail box. But if they take the phone off forward it will go to the correct voice mail.

What could be causing this?

Thanks

(aside from saying the default, do you have the latest patches at both sites)

are the users forwarding to the correct pilot number (same number as the HUNT and FDN)?

CLID info migh be lost, or TAT not working...

anything change recently or it did not work for a while?

It did work before, but we did do some cleaning up of ACDN's and RAN routes around the same time this started happening.

How could I check for CLID and TAT?

you would want to monitor the DCH for the tie line, the monitor will show you want's going to site and any messages coming back.

you can enable monitor feature for the dch in LD 96

ENL MSGI DCH# (enl msgi 16)
ENL MSGO DCH#

I=inbound
o= outbound

if all you get is bunch of hex, and no digits for the monitor output, you would set your monitor level,

SET MON 0

that will show alpha numeric output.

Are they forwarding the set to the same number you have set up in the phone for FDN and HUNT?

tracking (via dch monitoring)the call would be a good start

also, how would one get into the general mailbox (type of call that would default to it) so that way you can compare

The first call was from my desk phone (1264) directly to a phone at the remote site (1316) that is forwarded to vm. The second call was from my desk phone to the main menu, then though dialed to 1316. The first call went straight to the correct vm box and the second did like a stutter ring, then a full ring, then went to the general vm box.

so the second one with 1001316 got the general mailbox, there is a difference in the call 103 vs 100, not sure if they are location prefixes or what, but you have something to look for in CP or pbx

does turning on cfxa on the set make a difference. Call Pilot thinks this is an external call as its not local to the OPT11.

Check your routing in LD 86-90
100 & 103 look like routing codes as Trtion101 stated earlier. I had a similar issue between a 1000e (MO) and a Branch Office with the CP on the Main Office.

The CP is not recognizing the digits dialed (1001316) so the call goes to the general Mailbox.

100 and 103 have to do with Route Prompt SIGO = ESN5. The last number indicates the NCOS of the initiating end of the call. Based on the example, 1264 has an NCOS of 3 and CallPilot port 8415 has an NCOS 0.

oops (re: telebub)

a little knowledge can be dangerous in the hands of a fool
a lot of knowledge can be equally as dangerous in the hands of a genius
(I fall in to the first half of that statement!)

in the end, this might require patches(so keep that in mind as i said in my first post)

look up the error codes / events in Callpilot, they usually are generated when a call cannot be handled correctly.

maybe as part of your ACD cleanup you outed an ACD number associated to some SDN number in Callpilot? I'm not sure how this would affect just Through Dial calls on a CFW only, but if that is the only change, you might want to check that.

the call is being pulled back (TRO) so, maybe you might have to play around with some setting on the route? (ie.if NCRD=yes try no? not sure)

just giving some suggestions.....

Triton, I'm with you as a member of the 1st half of your statement. If I belonged to the 2nd half of the statement, I would be able to respond to a lot more threads on here. [smarty]

lenzhin, can you post your Route and D-channel setup on both ends of the TIE line? We might be able to give better feedback if we could see how it is setup.

no worries, wife tells me I'm wrong most of the time! ...... comes with the job! (even the kids tell me that!!)

:)
