My flatmate can access the web page using 1) http://dennis/webpage.html but not 2) http://192.168.0.1/webpage.html 192.168.0.1 is the LAN IP assigned to my computer 'dennis' is the LAN name assigned to my computer Presumably 'dennis' is the domain name for 192.168.0.1 My LAN network card says its IP is 192.168.0.1 BTW, I am self-taught in networks and I have only some idea of what is going on Thanks Upvote 0 Downvote
