Thinner borders 1

How can I get a thinner table border through direct HTML?

I know there's a way to do this with CSS, but was hoping there might be another option.

Not that i know of,
either define a CSS
or place the style in the table tag
ie
<table style=&quot;border:1px solid #000000&quot;>
