Thin client app can't connect to sql server

I have a vendor supplied app (C+) that connects to sql 2000. When run as a fat client it works fine. WHen trying to run the same app as a thin client using same credentials, returns 08001 error and seems unable to locate sql server. Any ideas?

Using sql authentication, I am wondering if this is an MDAC issue. I have an older Metaframe install where it has 2.6 mdac and it works, this is 2.7, and I can't roll back (at a client)

Silly stuff first...

1. Is the SQL client working from the Terminal Server console?
2. Is the SQL client installed properly?
3. ODBC configured correctly? Check by clicking on the "test connection" button. (If it uses an ODBC connection).

Found the answer on Citrix website, there is actually a hot fix that fixed the problem.
