Hi,

I just upgrade to CR10(trial version), and see the new toolbar for web reports. Why it looks so ugly? Can we change the toolbar background to other color instead of using the default gray?

Thanks!

By the way, I have seen the toolbar on some books. And it looks pretty nice.

Did they changed to a ugly face in version 10 or simply because I am still in trial version.

I mean the toolbar with Print and Export for web application.

Thanks!

With the 'toolbar where you print and export' I assume you are talking about the Crystal Reports Viewer (???). We used to use the ActiveX viewer for this purpose (which looked pretty nice (I think this was the most commonly used in CR8's web viewer tool, and now use the DHTML (Which does not look at nice as the ActiveX viewer, I agree). But nothing stops you from changing the viewer choice back to ActiveX in which case it will look similar to what it used to look.
I hope I understood what you meant correctly.

Thanks. But How can we change back to ActiveX toolbar. What is behind the change? I am using the trial version of CR10 Developer Version

This is the toolbar I want

But I get following toolbar:

newtoolbar.bmp

Thanks!

Try the following

Log in to CMC, then select Preference manager, then click on a user (test on yourself), click on Change Prefs, Click on Crystal Reports Prefs, this is where you can change the viewer type used. I am not however sure if this function is available in an evaluation copy???

Any inputs will be appreciated.

Thanks!

The images are all stored in the images\toolbar folder below your Crystalreportviewer10 virtual directory - mine maps to:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Crystal Decisions\2.5\crystalreportviewers10\images\toolbar

You can replace the icons with whatever you want - keep a back up and use the same filenames (and don't forget the different states).
