Hi there!
I have Windows 2003 Enterprise Server with SP1 installed on file server.Every 7-10 days all clients lost connectivity to the mapped drives or to shared folders on the server and in the event viewer is logged the following message:
=======================
Source: Srv
Event ID:2020
Description:The server was unable to allocate from the system paged pool because the pool was empty.
=======================

After that i should restart the server and everything going well during the next 7-10 days.

I was looking in the net but i couldn't find any different solutions than MS KB.
Everywhere in the net was mentioned about MS KB , i have tried but this didn't help me,the problem still exist.
I thought that after installing SP1 maybe the problem will be fixed but nothing different had happen.
I need you help!

Opsss i forgot to mentioned the server specification:
2x2.4GHz Xeon
1 GB Ram

Sounds like the server service is crashing. If possible, the next time it happens check the services on the server and see what, if any have stopped.

And another issue is that after this problem occur i can't log on even through terminal server client to restart Windows, i can just local.

any software been installed on it lately?

What AV software have you got?

sounds like a leaky application, Mcafee has been known to pour resources away and make a server fall over like this.

saw a post once saying Notons done it before, but i avoid norton.

I have Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition 8,but i have installed a long time ago

i'd see if they have any updates that address this, Mcafee was fine until one update, then servers started falling over and another one was released to address the buggy code.
