I'm getting this error every few seconds on my Windows 2000 AD DC. I've re-applied SP4 and installed all of the latest patches but it has made no difference. Any one have any ideas?

have you tried any logging to see what it is doing?

I've enabled failed logon attempts but nothing is being shown at all in the security event log

Problem now resolved. Found that workgroup clients were pointing to this server for DNS. Removed DNS settings and error messages stopped instantly.
