Hi,

I have recently moved an access database to a different NT domain. However, now when accessing the database a message appears informing me that 'The Recordset is not updateable'.

Can anyone tell me what causes this message, and if there is any way to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Andrew Stewart

hi,

i have recently an access(mdb) file, my problem are:

1. i can't access to the other computer.
2. there are other errors when i attempt to open other forms which actually accessable in other computers.
3. i heared something about workgroup application which maybe the cause of errors.....

thank you in advance,

joelllano

astewart,
Check the file permissions for your userid--it's possible you don't have rights to the .mdb file on the NT box where it resides.

joe,
1. <<can't access other computer>> Need more detail on this question.
2, 3. Their may indeed be access security set up on the .mdb, you'll need to see the developer about that--and get a username with rights to these objects. If the developer is you, you need to make sure you've created the user with the rights to the .mdb in the workgroup file on the other machines. If you never set up a user when you developed this, then the default Admin should be able to open all objects, regardless of the workgroup file.

If this isn't the case, could you please post more detail on this as well?
