Is there a way to eliminate the operator is not available? Message from playing after the main greeting times out, when a caller takes no action.

The Flash CCR is setup as follows:

Thank you for calling ABC Company, press 1 at any time to leave a message, press 2 for directions, press 3 for specials.

Path 1 takes caller to Gen delivery Mbox 10 ext 21 then disconnects, path 2 has 3 sub levels (ie) 21,22,23 at the end of each greeting it takes the caller back to the home menu, path 3 also takes the caller back to the home menu.

Would it be better to setup 4 information mail boxes, that allows the caller to hear the information and then leave a message, and if so how would you get the message notification?

Presently there are only 2 extensions, or would it better to disable the Gen Delivery Mbox

Owner does not want to turn the operator feature on or off.

First let me thank you all in advance, please feel free to make any recommendations, your assistance will greatly appreciated!!

Set attendant available to yes in the VM programming or under feat982 to avoid "the operator is not available."

As to your other questions: it is up to you. There are many ways to make the VM work. None are really "better" than others as ling as you get the end result you want.

Info mailboxes will notify to whatever ext you assign them to. Or you can use mbx's without an ext., and set up off premise message notification to an internal ext.

Also- you don’t need to make paths for 21, 22, 23, etc. if you are just looking to transfer to extensions. If a caller inputs an ext. number while listening to the CCR (except an info message,) it will xfer to the DN.

Scratch what I said about info mbx’s. I was thinking about regular mailboxes without an extension. True info mbx’s don’t have the ability to take a message- they are for info only.
