Hi,

I have created a subreports with fields like this:

22.10.2008 Text Text text
18.07.2008 blablabla
12.04.2007 gugugugug
01.01.2007 grrrrrrrrrr

and so on.....

In my main report I want to display the subreport with just the last 3 entries

Is that possible?

Thx

You would have to define what you mean by "last". Are these dates? What is their datatype?

-LB

By "last" I mean the last 3 entries by date (from actual to past)

Last as in most current? Or last as in the bottom of your sample list?

Software Sales, Training, Implementation and Support for Macola, eSynergy, and Crystal Reports

"What version of URGENT!!! are you using?

Well, is the date a date or a string, as I asked earlier?

-LB

You could insert a maximum on the date field at the group level and then go to report->group sort->topN: 3->choose maximum of date field descending.

hmm, i have all the fields (date, contact, memo) in the detail section

So? Please try this. You don't have to display the group.

If you are saying there are no groups, then you can simple sort your records in descending order by the datefield, and then go to the section expert->details->suppress and enter:

recordnumber > 3
