The Keep Together property doesn't seem to work

I am using Access 2000 on a Windows 2000 Professional machine and have a small problem.

I have a Report Footer with 8 lines of totals only, which consist of 8 labels and 8 text boxes. I would like to keep them all on page. If they can't all be printed at the bottom of one page, I would like them all to be printed at the top of the next page. I have set the Keep Together property to "Yes" in the Report Footer section, but it will still print some of the totals on 1 page and the rest on the following page.

Is there something else I need to be doing as well? Is there a work around for this?

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Have a look at the Sorting & Grouping in the toolbar section - this tends to be more powerful than other groups.

I have experience similar happenings with the Keep Together property so in this situation I would just push the Total from the Report Footer to a new page. By using the Force New Page property and setting it to Before Section.

Thanks for the replies. I was aware of the New Page property, but because this is a Sales Quote and a number of them fit on one page, I didn't want to have to resort to that. Is there a reason why this isn't working?

Thanks again,

Mike

The only thing that I could find was the following:

If the KeepTogether property for a group is set to Whole Group or With First Detail and the KeepTogether property for a section is set to No, the KeepTogether property setting for the section is ignored.

Now I don't know if this applies to your report. Whether you have grouping and such. Take a look and see what you think.
