I am getting the following error when I try to upgrade one-x portal

The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2738.

Contact Avaya or reinstall OS and start all over again, follow the docs to the letter.

when you donwload the installer check it with MD5 checksum to make sure you got it correctly as I have had bad downloads before.

A clean install on a fresh server is always the best practice because there are lots of problems that can get inherited from a server that has been uused for "whoknowswhat" even if it has been cleaned before the installation.

AND, like Intrigrant said reinstalling the OS is sometimes the only way to get it working because the installation is a bit temperamental and a single step done in the wrong order can screw up your whole install without any chance to fix it on that OS install. I had it happen that I had to reinstall the OS 3 times to get CCR in properly and working (ok one of my first installs I did)

Definitely a windows problem,built new vm ware server and loaded ok onto that.
