The document is too large for word to handle

I keep getting a msg."The document is too large for word to handle" in MS Word every time I try to spellcheck a document but if I move to a different workstation do the same thing to the same document I do not get the msg. I've reinstalled MS Word on that workstation but that did not resove the issue. At the time that the spell check was run I see that the winword was utilizing 99% of her cpu. Does this sound accurate?
Any Idea?

It may be that there is insufficient disk space for the Virtual memory to hold all of the file up for spill-chucking. Try altering the size of the Virtual Memory up and check that the hard disk space has enough scratch space to run that amount of Virtual Memory.
