My computer use to turn itself off after i click shut down in windows 98, but in my dual boot win2k system, it cannot do that, n always promt that "Its safe to turn off your computer"...how can i get rid of it?

Go to START>SETTINGS>CONTROL PANEL. Then go to POWER OPTIONS then the APM tab. Check the "Enable Advanced Power Management Support"
This should help with that. Only if you are running Win2K Pro. James Collins
