I'm stuck with a difficult problem - I've read similar posts but can't find an answer to this.

We have a large number of users accessing Citrix applications using either the full PN client or NFuse 1.7. Everything is working fine for all users except 3 (this same problem has happened for each user at different times). These 'problem' users were able to access their Citrix applications in the past, but now get the following error message box when they try and open any Citrix application:

"Cannot connect to the Citrix server: The Citrix Server you have selected is not accepting connections"

If the user goes to another computer and logs in - they can access their Citrix apps. If they or an administartor try to use the 'problem' machine - the error message appears. It would seem that the problem is an issue speciaifcally to the user's computer - but what?

I've reinstalled the Citrix client on the 'problem' machine; checked all licensing resources (MS and Citrix - plenty available).

I'm scratching my head and have run out of ideas - help!

Are there simalarities with the machines that are trying to attach? Especially at OS level. Are they Windows 2000, XP, 98? I ran into this problem before and it was a Terminal Services Licensing issue. If you look on the Citrix server they are trying to attach too it will list a TS Licensing errors.

I've looked in the Event Logs on the Citrix server - but there are no 'TS Licening Errors' - am I looking in the right place? Ar there other things I can check with regard to MS licensing to make sure it's ok?

On the machine you are having the problem, remove the key below. This will cause the client to get a new TS CAL.
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\MSLicensing\Store\LICENSE00x

Look on the Terminal Services License server.
In License Manager check the temporary licenses and see when the expiration date is. Check that you have sufficeint licenses to cover all your workstations.

Cheers
Scott

Delete the key MSLicensing from the HKey_LocalMachine in the registry.

You will be issued a fresh 90-day temporary license by the Terminal Server.
