Ok, simple subject: I'm looking to replace the standard Apple mouse. Any suggestions?

You cannot go wrong by getting any other mouse than what Apple offers.

I picked up a simple $10-20 mouse that CompUSA was selling right next to their 'Mac Store within a Store' section. It is amusing that an Apple retailer recognizes that Mac mice could be improved/upgraded. 2 or 3-button mice with scroll wheels work well in OSX and OS9.

Thanks. Picked up a Logitech 310. Very nice for $30. I'll always love Apple's products, but why they're so stubborn when it comes to it's mouse, I just don't get it.

Logitech MX300:

Optical.
Three buttons with scroll wheel acting as button when depressed.
Plus another button that is completly configurable.

What's wrong with the Apple mouse? Once you've changed the ball for a heavier one, that is.

(If you've not done so already, try putting 'mouse ball' into your search engine.)

Best regards,

Pete W.
