Thanks for thinking ahead IE, but...

Ok, this one is driving me nuts. IE will automatically open up at any given time. Anytime you click a link, do a search, or type a new addy in the address bar, you get 2 extra IE's opening up to the homepage. What I have done so far to correct:
-Ran Adaware and Spybot
-Ran Trendmicro and Mcafee (Mcafee picked up a file infected with virus js IEstart.gen.d which it removed, but I think that might be a clue to the problem)
-ran winsockfix
-Reset the Start Page in registry

Anybody have any suggestions, or have you run into this?

I fixed it, and for others having the problem this is what did it:

I renamed the file mscmsg to backmscmsg. What does that file do? Well, I have no idea, but IE is working great now.
