Having issues with TFTP (solarwinds TFTP) on a windows2003 box. Its finnicky and if I log off the box it stops running. Looking for other solutions, maybe host it on a linux box or something of that nature?

Can someone help me out?

Use mv_iptell, it runs as a service

You can download the newest version of solarwinds tftp software.
This can run as a service, in Windows Server 2003.

I have it runnig on multi servers, without problems.

Question: What are you good ad?
Answer: I'm GOOD in bed.
Yesterday I slept 9 hours.

Go a d/l for it? Can't seem to find it on Avaya's website.

MV-IPtel does http and ftp too.
Better if you use 16xx series too.

Or buy a Compact Flash Card, also a Embedded VMail card can be used to put all bin files on it.

Set the TFTP/HTTP ip to the IP address of the IPO itself.

A sepperate server can be used if you have a lot of extensions. I use CF card or MV_Iptel like tlpeter mentioned.
It works great and it has the AVAYA logo on it, so they mostly leave the tool untouched. Also the manager can be used but not as a HTTP server (for the 16xx phones) but this had it's bug over the years.

Also Windwos IIS works this is default in Win2k3 can be used as HTTP server, put all the bin files in
C:\Inetpub\

I am using this software from solarwinds

It can run as a service.

And then, at the same server, I have installed Windows IIS, to get HTTP support for my 16xx phones.

It's working great, with over 200 phones.
