Hi,

Two resillient 3300s running MCD50

Customer likes to have phone files on external TFTP server, question is: What files do I need to copy onto the external tftp server? and of course where I can find those files?

Should I get all the files from the /sysro/tftp directory of the 3300?

Aren't those files somewhere in MOL?

Regards,

Daniel

Why customer likes this? Do you have only Minet phones?

Don't think the files are on MOL anywhere I know of. You need to get the file for each set type from the 3300.

Canmi: Using an external TFTP can speed up the boot process of the phone especially if large number of phones are trying to boot all at once or some of the phones are located a great distance away from the 3300 controller i.e if phones running in a different city then the 3300 controller it might be better to have a local TFTP serve rather then having to TFTP across a customers LAN/WAN. There is also a limit on how many TFTP requests the 3300 controller can service at one time. Rather then having sets queuing up an external TFTP server might be faster in serving the sets.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.
