textbox maxlenght

i have a textbox, that is multiline, and it has a maxlenght of 20, but it is allowing to enter more than 20 characters, why is that ? and how can i do to make it respect the maxlenght that i specify ?

If you have TextBoxMode set to MultiLine the maxlenght is ignored.
