I'm new to Photoshop and have put text into a few photos, 14 pt. New Courier, which worked just fine. I've now opened another photo to do the same thing, but the text is HUGE; even 6pt New Courier is oversized and larger than the previous 14pt. Have I selected something incorrectly? I'm baffled, and tearing my hair out, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Is the image resolution different between the photos?

Thanks for the responses. Each of the photos was scanned from a slide, so I'd assumed that the resolution was the same. I don't know how to check, but, in the end, I went into the editor preferences and changed the units from points to pixels which gave lots more control over the text size and solved the problem.

One way to check the image is to go to the edit menu, select the word image and look at the displayed text.

If you want your pix to have the same resolution you can change it in the image dialog box.

Work at the highest resolution you can confortable do and then, as a last step befor saving, change the resolution of the job file, NOT the working file unless you're sure no changes are forthcomming; and belive me, thay always are.
