Okay I'm using PS7 on WindowsXP and sometimes my text is much bigger for the size setting then normal, it's very annoying as if I lower it down to the propper size using decimal places then it looks all bad quality. Sometimes it takes days for it to get back to normal and is extremely annoying, do yous know what the problem is?

Thanks in advance.

Try installing ps7 of on any other OS other than windows xp. Coz winxp is loaded with lots of graphics and uses more memory and ps7 also uses 50% of system ram.

Good luck

you gotta be kidding me gops. please tell me you are...

dark prince, check your image resolution in image> image size (under ppi) it'll have a great affect in how large your text appears. make sure it's something like 72ppi for screen work, or 300ish if you're going to be printing it. the font you choose may also have an affect, as some fonts don't display as well in small images.

..and always look at you PS images at 100% zoom. Sometimes that baffles some folk!

gops15 - Nup, it was happening on win98 as well.

aikodude - That's most likely the problem but why would it change the ppi on its own then change back?

dimoj - Haha, I'm not stupid ^_^.

thanks everyone for your help.

it doesn't. but it will remember the last ppi you worked with. that will carry over to a new image unless you reset it.

Well I never ever change that, but could a jpeg I open that I saved off the net have like 300ppi keep it as that? I guess that must've happened cause I wouldn't play around with it.

Thanks again.
